Science Gallery International Network
The Science Gallery International Network has seven locations, in Ireland, America, the UK, India, Australia, Italy and The Netherlands. The symbols for each location, are based on the elements that would be consistent throughout each of these locations, as opposed to the more obvious differences they would have. Breaking it down, the DNA in every person on the planet is identical up to a point, it is after this point that the code changes and is completely unique to each person. The Science Gallery’s logo is already made up of a circle and square, so I created a a symbol for each country that would sit with the logo like a code. Each symbol was inspired by the art history of the country it represresented, referencing the idea that it is not just the biological DNA that shapes each person but the culture and environment in which you live.
